Rep. Nan Hayworth Holds Energy Roundtable Discussion

With energy costs being such a concern for voters this summer, Rep. Nan Hayworth (R-NY) held a roundtable discussion in the district to discuss a host of energy issues affecting the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas including the impact of rising prices and burdensome regulations, conservation initiatives, and energy infrastructure.

The meeting was very productive and informative, and Rep. Hayworth had this to say…

“This morning’s meeting brought together suppliers, consumers and conservation experts to work together on solving the problem of rising energy costs. I appreciated their perspective on how citizens and governments at all levels need to be aware of the importance of having diverse sources of energy at an affordable price for our hard-pressed businesses and taxpayers as we revive our economy. Conservation and energy management are also crucial, and I’m working on legislation to allow more homeowners to benefit from energy-saving home improvements through the PACE program.”
